Last Will and Testament State of North Carolina County of Greene School of Maury We, the Seniors of Maury High School, being of sound mind and body and realizing om impending departure from this institution of training, do hereby declare this our last will and testament. ARTICLE I To Mr. W. L. May, we the Seniors leave our gratitude for his fairness toward all members of the student body. ARTICLE II To the underclassmen as a whole, we leave such a high standard of achievement that they can never attain. ARTICLE III To our beloved parents, who have sacrificed so much, we leave our deepest love and gratitude and we hope that you can say that your sacrifices have not been in vain. ARTICLE rV Individual Bequests; During our years of school we have acciunulated some well known articles which we would like to bestow upon the members of the high school. They are as follows: To Patricia Carraway, WERTHA MAE STANCIL leaves her never changing and sweet disposition. To Mildred Davis, GERALDINE DAVIS leaves her studious ways with the hope that she will heed the deed. To Jimmy May, BOBBY BEAMAN leaves his brick-hard muscles. To Judy Walls, MARY NAN MAY leaves her cheerleader suit and her ability to get the student body to yell! To Lewis Gray, EDWARD JONES leaves his ability to render wise cracks. To Carolyn May, MARGARET LINDA MURPHREY leaves her high fashionable ways. To Julian Jones, BOBBY BOWEN leaves his athletic ability. To Johnnie Sue Webb, EDITH SHACKLEFORD leaves her shy ways. The deed must prevail. To Cynthia Mooring, EMMA REDIC leaves her slim figure. To Herman Braxton, LEON BUTTS leaves his ability to get along with Mrs. Olive and his seat in xglish class. To Kenneth Worthington, DON CARTER leaves his public speaking ability. To Emmily Croom, MARGO STOCKS leaves her position as pianist of the Glee Club. To Ann Norman, BILLIE FAYE SUMRELL leaves part of her weight. To Bobby Wade, WILLIAM CARRAWAY leaves his ways with the wimmin. To Johnny Mack Jones, RICHARD WORTHINGTON leaves his position as president of the Student Council. To Dorothy Mooring, ELINOR NETHERCUTT leaves her dignified ways. To Linda Harrell, DONNA NEWCOMB leaves her ability to trap a man. To Patsy Hill, LINDA B. MURPHREY leaves her position as Homecoming Queen. To Billy Beaman, HAROLD FULFORD leaves his quiet and studious ways. To Herbert Graves, RAY NETHERCUTT leaves his privilege to talk during class, after class and between classes. To Jenny Shirley, CAROLYN CASH leaves her the right to represent Maury in the Farmville parade. To Charles Cox, DONNIE WALSTON leaves his love for classics and novels. To all of the student body, KENNETH SKINNER leaves his appreciation to those who have helped him graduate. To Bonnie Newcomb, LOUISE WHITLEY leaves her ability to learn French. To Freddie Meadows, JEAN JONES leaves her athletic ability. To Reba Bunn, LYNDA WORTHINGTON leaves her flirty ways in hopes that she will learn new techniques with the men. To all people who holla in the halls, DELPHIA LETCHWORTH leaves her quiet and shy ways. CATHERINE NORlvlAN still leaves school with that ever lingering desire, to date a certain boy. To Joan Graves, MARTHA MAE ROUSE leaves her nervous ways in hopes she will be cool, calm and collected. To all of the freshman girls, JANE WORTHINGTON leaves her troubled love life. To James I. Mooring, DONNIE SUMRELL leaves his democratic and co-operative ways. To Carole Dail, FAYE SUGG leaves her tallness. To Robert Whitley, PEGGY McKEEL wills her courteous ways.
