LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT United States of America State of North Carolina County of Greene City of Maury, Maury School We the Senior Class of nineteen hundred and fifty-four being together as a class for the last time, do hereby will and bequeath the following to-wit: We will and bequeath to our parents, who have stood by us so faithfully through these years, our never ceasing love and gratitude. To our faculty, we leave forever our love and thanks, for their efforts in helping us to reach this glad hour. To our Senior Class Teacher, Mrs. Olive, we leave our hope, that the Seniors of fifty-five, will be as fine a class as we, the departing class of fifty-four. To everyone we leave the memory of a Senior Class they will never forget. I, Edgar Lowe, will my muscles to M. H. Moore. Mary LouMoye, leaves her Popularity with the boys to Alice Faye Moye. Jimmy Meadows wills his cuteness, to Bobby Skinner. I, Harriet Wade, will my good looks, to Jean Davis. Hiram Murphy, wills his bashful ways to Harry Hughes. Ada Moore wills her ability to get along with others to the Junior Class. I, Billy Garris, will my disagreeable ways to Willis Meadows. Garnet Hedgepeth wills her pleasing personality to Helen Nethercutt. I, David May, will “my way with the girls” to David Horne. To Dorothy Garris, Ann Faulkner wills her Charming ways. Comolia May wills her brains to Gordon Hagan, to help him make better grades. I, Nannie Mae Sugg will my A on conduct to Carson Beaman. Use it Carson. Lois Braxton wills her ability to talk without ceasing, to Pat Wood. And we the aforesaid, do declare this to be our Last Will and Testament, and bequeath it to the Annual Staff for publication.
