A RY EWS Reports the Facts EVERYBODY WORK!-is the order of all the editors. Here we have lstandingl Bob Rosenbaum, Bill VVinstead. Mary Moore, Mary Newsom, Editor-in-chief, Suzanne Stirling, Mrs. Whitesides. sponsor and Diddy White lseatedl. Our bi-monthly paper, the Maury News, is a student publication. The staff consists of approximately forty hardworking stu- dents and one fi:lCllllY adviser. Spirited sub- scription campaigns are held in the fall and at mid-term resulting in over one thousand persons subscribing to the paper. Preparing the fllaury News for publica- tion is a two-weeks' task. During this time articles are written, corrected, typed, copy- read and sent to the printeris, in keeping with the deadlines. A few days later proofs come back for making corrections and page paste-ups. Throughout the year much work must be done to retain the paperis high rating. For the past two years the Maury News has won first place in judgings at Columbia Scholas- tic Press Association and Quill and Scroll. . . . alrf of writing . .
