DEDIC TIO Slips of the United States Navy go to sea in order to accomplish a variety of tasks. Some of these ships perform well known functions while others sail quietly accomplishing many unsung duties. Regard- less of their immediate goal, they all share the same ultimate resolve: The continued preservation of America's command and control of the global seas.
