These accomplishments augmented his hopes for a better, more integrated school. Father didn't confine his activities to just Maur Hill; he was again chaplain for the Mount. He also held the position of Director of the Neighborhood Center. He sponsored a tutorial program for children of low income families and a cultural enrichment program. This was perhaps his greatest work and in which he put his greatest effort. Fr. Kieran is not just a vice-principal or a religion teacher; he is a living Christian, aware of his responsibilities to everyone.

chaplain To be a priest at Maur Hill requires a tremendous amount of faith and devotion to vocation. Moreover, to be the chaplain requires assurance and conviction. In a time of great change, great unsuredness, and great insecurity, Fr. Wilfred has done his best to foster and teach the truth to all students concerning not only Christianity, but those basic things which draw all men together as social beings. 12
