Father Owen gives the blessing to the football players. As in past years, Maur Hill has operated in a religious atmosphere. The chaplain’s office is always open to any boy. Father Owen also is head of scholastic students. Maur Hill has a school paper known as The Tatler. The Tatler is a monthly paper and is published by the students. The students gain a sense of responsibility and practical experience. The Tatler informs the students of important activities going on in the school. o

Brother Jude presides over Sociology class. This year as every year, Maur Hill had a full athletic program. Brother Jude, Maur Hill’s athletic director, scheduled football games, cross country meets, basketball games, and track meets. He also coached the freshman football, basketball, track teams, and B-team basketball, taught English, Remedial reading, and took care of the new gym. Mr. Galley is the head coach of the football team and teaches Citizenship, Physiology, and is the head counselor. Brother Jude coaches a fresh- man game. Mr. Galley explains the parts of the eye to the Physiology class.
