For seniors 1962-63 was a year of many names. For many it often seemed a year of anxiety and ’’slavery”. College bound seniors awaited the College Board and A.C.T. tests. And almost all of them slaved a little harder on that English theme or physics homework to improve the looks of their transcripts. Secondly, it was a year of responsibility. In this, their last year at Maur Hill, seniors took up top jobs in all fields from TATLER and MAURITE to the football and basketball teams. For from whom much has been given, much is expected, and in their last year of Maur Hill education, the school expected and was not surprised when the seniors put forth 100%. And as it was their last year at Maur Hill, it was a year of sadness in a way. For in years to come many will look back at the M.H. -St. Joe Central game, the night of the prom, or graduation day and sigh, Ah, to do it all over again. Those were the good years.” 27
