Foih i Rage i One of the busiest yet the jolliest members of the faculty was Fr. Roger Rumery O.S.B. Father was in charge of all school publications, mainly the Tatler and Maurite. He taught three typing classes, two English II classes, and bookkeeping. Added to his heavy burden was the task of Moderator of Camera Club. Never will we forget his jolly personality or his help in the classroom. Fotlnj t B'dOuvv Seniors reaped great rewards from Fr. Brian Kelly, O.S.B., and his American History and Sociology classes. He also taught World History. Father made sure that the students' desire for recreation and tid- bits were supplied in the Roost . We will always remember his friendly jibing. 9

Fftfcfuw' f-fe uufttt Another color in our life here at Maur Hill was Fr. Herman Fangman, O.S.B., with his keen wit. Father taught Religion III, Geometry, Alge- bra I and Mechanical Drawing. He was also prefect of the day-students Mass and the swimming pool. Fctfefuw Qtilyu l! Many of us will recall the hours that Fr. Gabriel sacrificed in our behalf He was a constant reference for mathematics and science students throughout the year. He taught General Science, Trigonometry, and prefected the boarders Mass and St. Placidus Hall. 8

Fttfcflflw JtAAx)' Fr. Andrew Gottschalk, O.S.B., was in charge of much of the discipline this year. He was prefect of St. Maur Hall and of the dormitory. A great number of students participated enthusiastically in his intramural programs. He taught Algebra I, II, and Religion II EaJtk v 0w6K All right, everybody out, was the familiar cry of Fr. Owen Purcell, O.S.B., prefect of the locker room. As assistant in the intramural program, he provided much of our recreation. He taught Latin I, II, Religion II, and English I. Many of his hours were spent in friendly conversation with us around the locker room. 10
