CLASS The Freshman class of 1943 had eighteen members in the fall. Later that year Betty Porter came from a school in California and joined our class. After three days of freshman initiation, the class settled down to the routine of high school life. They found it was very different from grade school days, and a lot more fun. The first two years of high school were much the same. School work was mixed with various school activities, as, athletics, dances, student body meetings and work on the paper staff. Some of the boys played on the football and basketball teams.
