To the students: These are serious times. Everyone has certain responsibilities. What are ours as students and teachers at Maumee Valley? To me it seems that our greatest responsibility is to do, perhaps more conscientiously, the same things we should have been doing ii this world were not at war, that is, to study how to be good citizens, to assimilate and to guard the culture that is our heritage, to learn to give and talce gracefully, to be healthy, to conserve where we might be inclined to be vvasteiul, and to be happy without beingvlrivolous.
