Committees . . . Vital to I x I CITIZENSHIP COMMITTEE: FRONT ROW-Miss Izumigawa. advisor: Patsy Kakihara, chairman: Miriam Yoshioka. ROW 2 -Allan Nagano, Rita Malagui, Roy Tsuii. STUDENT BODY COMMITTEES Spearheading activities throughout the school year were the I5 student body committees. These committees, chosen by the executive board and approved by the student council, were very neces- sary to the school, tor they undertook many ot the tasks which were impossible tor the student council to undertake, due to lack ot time. All these com- mittees had a purpose and several responsibilities. LIVING MEMORIAL COMMITTEE, one ot the host important among the other committees, helped students in tinancial emergencies where students tound it necessary to have small amounts ot money to cover school expenses tor short periods ot time. Reserving ot time, dates, and scheduling activi- ties were made possible tor the campus organiza- tions, S.B. council, and the taculty through con- tact with the CALENDAR COMMITTEE. This com- mittee carried out the responsibility ot keeping the various activities trom contlicting with each other. The I-IONOR ROLL COMMITTEE compiled the grade point averages ot every student in school and tallied them to see whether or not the honor roll was made. An average ot 3.4 or all A's and B's was necessary to make the honor roll.
