Newcomers to the team were Randy Kowal- ski at defensive tackle making All-District Honora- ble Mention and Mike Peters at Offensive tackle. Sterling Harjo led the team as quarterback after playing tight end the previous year, making All-Dis- trict HM both years. Mike McAnally received All- District HM at his offensive guard position. Gary Presley and Bunky McCarty received All-District honors twice each, Presley at linebacker and half- back and McCarty at the center position both years. Perry Hennigh started at offensive guard before side- lined early in the year with a illness and saw limited action. Gary Presley Spirits High Scores Low The 1974 football season began with an overwhelming 48-14 for the Tigers, but the team was destined to win only one more game before the close of the season.
