FOREWORD When you think of a high school, what do you see? This is the picture that comes to me; A high school is people - teenagers and alL It’s assemblies and classes and a rush in the hall. It's panic at grade cards; it’s orange and black; It’s thrills and excitement that never grow old. Suspense fills the hallways, and rivalry’s keen. All yearn for a scholarship; who will be Queen? A high school means projects and clubs with their fun, and everyone working till all tasks are done; Tense moments at ball games - Will we win or not? That ’’Fightin’ Tiger'’ spirit means more than we thought! What is a high school? What is its story? We've told it here in all its glory! 2 DEDICATION As the year comes to a close, we will each go a separate way. But, even as we do, there will be some things, some places, and some people we will not forget. This is so with Mr. Glenn Rhoades. We will all long remember his guiding hand in math; his helpful assistance in the concession stands; his unyielding loyalty to the football and basketball teams; and his devotion to the student body as a whole. Because of this interest, guidance, and understand- ing, we have all become better people. It may seem, from a common viewpoint, that to operate a school is relatively simple, but behind the scenes it is not. The names of out- standing students are submitted by the principal and superintendent on the basis of grades, co-operation, attitude, extracurricular activities and overall school participation. Biographies of these students are review- ed by the Board of Advisors of the Outstanding American Foundation and the final choices are made by a com- mittee of different celebrities. Not every school has students chosen. Maud High School is very honored to have three students.
