Gkss jigsfory In September 1943 forty f1ve frrghtened boys and grrls entered rnto the frrst grade Mrss Stout began rmmedrately to start us out on our fabulous school career Marcelene Prppen Jorned us at Mrd Term The next year we were a lrttle better acquarnted wrth school Mrs Fomby was our teacher Nelda Dalton Jorned us thrs year Mrs Beasley taught us rn the thrrd grade We got our frrst touch of Spamsh thrs year We lost two of our grrls thrs year Nelda Dalton and Brllre June Wells In the fourth grade our teacher was Mrss Rrchardson We garned two students thrs year Joe Mac Davrs and Veta Chamblee Mrs Ashiord was our teacher rn the frfth grade Gaylon Foster was absent the frrst few months of thrs year we were really proud when he reJo1ned us In the srxth grade we got to move rnto the Hrgh school burldrng Mrs Chance was our teacher Mr Emerson taught us hrstory and Mrss Parker taught us Spanrsh Mrss Parker had the pleasure of teachrng us agarn the seventh year Mr Jackson We were very proud when we reached the erghth grade because we were soon to be rn hrgh school Betty Lou Dukes Jorned our group thrs year Soon the long awarted mght arrrved and we were walkmg up the rsles to recerve our drplomas Mrs Phrllrps was our teacher she called us her ltttle folks We lost Beverly Atchley thrs year Our Freshman year was started wrth a bang We were rnrtrated by the Sophomores Frerda Newberry Jorned our happy group thrs year Then came our Sophomore year It wasn t as hard as we thought rt was gorng to be Mr Arnold had the pleasure of teachrng us thrs year He really drdn t know we knew so much about Algebra Our Junror year was very pleasant because we were lookrng forward to the Iunror and Senror Banquet We enjoyed the outrng Mrs Chance showed us at Sprrng Lake Park and the movre We were very proud to have Mary Helen Lowery Jorn our group at Mrd Term Our Semor year has frnally arrrved We are lookrng forward to May when we recerve our drplomas was our math teacher. Beverly Atchley joined us this year.
