They mark that zero down in their little black hooks- when all you do is doze off for a mere five minutes! But we're still rather fond of them. May we introduce them? Miss Crosby and Miss Lutz satisfy our yearnings for a foreign lang- uage or two, while Miss Cagley, Miss Grimes, Miss Morgan and Miss Bow- man try to repair the mess we've been known to make of the King's English. Present day problems are solved in 40 minutes-specialties of Mr. Parker and Mr. Black, teaching social science and sociology, respectively. Mr. Shimp and Miss julsrud nobly withstand our frustrated attempts toward music in any form-sthey try so hard not to discourage us! Miss Houston competes with Miss Franklin in the eternal question of home versus career. WVe've tried both. There MUST be something else!!! Historical knowledge flows freely from the mouths of Miss Gabbert and Miss Alexander-would that we, too, could drool so freely! Mr. Green and Mr. Horton are our mathe- matical geniuses, but-how DID the hypotenuse get over there??? Our Distributive Education Class is headed by Mr. Phipps, with Mr. Garbe taking over during the second semester. In the chemical department Mr. Garrison prays for the roof 'every lab period, while Miss Liffick settles the biological problems. Aiming for health improvement, we have Miss Bowman's l . lf. classes, and our own coaching staff of Horton and Iiasterbrook fwho dips into Bookkeeping on the sidej nobly assisted by Mr. Hahn and Captain Doolen. Heading our great R.O.T.C. unit is Captain lloolen, assisted by Sergeant Seymour fTwinkle Toesj Cohen. Then we must not forget the advisers of our two great school publi- cations and of our Student Council. Miss Morgan fills this position on the Mirror, Miss Lutz on the Riddle, and Mr. Green and Miss l.iffiek on the Student Council. These are our liaculty. lint to us, the-y're a little more than just Faculty. .For all their advice, which is so freely and wisely offered, for Cll- tcrtaining some of us in their homes, for their encouragement and help, for being just a little more than teachers -we, the students, thank them, our friends!
