Pilar Teran Our Exchange Student This year AAHS, in conjunction with its student Council, sponsored a foreign exchange student from Quito, Ecuador. Pilar Teran came to us through the International Fellowship, Inc. Pilar, or Pili , was born on July 1, 1946, in Quito. She was raised by her parents on their large cattle and produce ranch outside the city. She attended La Dolorosa High School for girls from which she graduated in 1963. Pilar attended AAHS as a senior and took such subjects as English, World History, US History and Art. She took part in many school activities including the newly organized Spanish Club and the Annual Variety Show. Pilar also went to Washington with the Senior Class. Pilar resided at the home of Principal and AArs. William Liebeknecht. Upon her return to Quito, Pilar plans to continue her study of the guitar and follow her ambitions in the field of Art. Everyone at AAHS wishes Pili every possible success. We are sure she will have no trouble in achieving success as long as she con- tinues to be the wonderful person we found her to be.
