N gX XiWG lIdf Prophecy of Class of 1942 It was 1n.August, 1952 that we made a tour of the Unlted States It seemed more than ten years s1nce we had heard from each member of our graduat1ng class of 1942, and we thought that durlng our travel1ngs, we would try to see as many of our former classmates as poss1ble b began our Journey from Matthews, whore we were st1ll 11V1Hg we left there Ed Hooks, havlng atlng a poultry farm.near the town and Margaret Hooks who had marrled and bumlt her home near Matthews and was puttlng 1hfO practloe all she had learned ln Home Eoomomlcs. It was a dreary ra1ny mornlng as we began our Jour noy, but lt was soon to be brlghtenod by the famlllar faces of our former classmates. Our f1TSt stop was Norfolk, V1TglUla whore we stayed overnlght As we were welklrg up the street, I saw a neon slgn over a fashlonable dress shop Wh1Ch caught my eye It road, B1ll1e McLeods Shoppe M f1TSt thought was of B1ll1e McLeod, and upon enterlng the shop wc found B1ll1e her usual well dressed self Mb talked for some tlme Sho told me that John BEV1S Hemby was captaln of a shlp whlch docked at Norfolk often From Norfolk we m nt to Phlladolphla In readlng tho d lly paper th ro one mornlng I notlood that Neal Nelson was a promlnont lawyer who had been glVCH much publ1c1ty on the Front pages of the paper for the part he was playlng ln 1 m rder case.
