Being in High School at Mattawan is an Impression that will last a lifetime . .. .. Remember when ... you were a Senior sex symbol? you just couldn’t figure out how to run that sewing machine? ... you spent hours typing the newspaper?

— DEDICATION We would like to dedicate this yearbook to two people who have given wholeheartedly to the school, the students, and what it stands for. They brighten and enrich our days with their smiles and laughter. They are always there, bright and cheery. Each one is constantly making new efforts to help each student in every way possible. They show us what we are and where we can be. They help us to achieve even the highest ambition. They share with us their knowledge of more than just the academic world. They bring us new ideas and new ways of thinking. They help us to express ourselves freely. The best thing that they share with us is their patience and understanding. They have time for each individual and their hopes, dreams, and troubles. So, with great appreciation and many thanks, we dedicate the IMPRESSIONS ’80” to two great people; MR. WILLIAMS and MR. Being a Senior meant... — filling in your class schedule with Home Ec and Art classes. — breaking out in hives over your ACT scores. — sending out graduation announcements to relatives you have never met (and hoping for presents). — being able to act crazy, without having anyone say anything about it. — being the class with the most spirit! — wearing a graduation gown that dragged on the ground because the class secretary put you down as being 6 feet 2. — standing on the threshold of adulthood, and not being at all sure you want to be there . . . 5
