The staff of the 1974 Mirror would like to dedicate this year’s annual to Mrs. Gerry Yates, as a sign of our appreciation for all the time and energy she has spent with the students and faculty of the Mattawan High School. It’s always a pleasure to walk into the office and be greeted by Mrs. Yates’ cheerful and enthusiastic disposition. We have known her to be sincere and understanding and we have found that we have always been able to confide in her. She has meant very much to each and every one of us and for this we would like to thank her. i SUPERINTENDENTS OFFICE L Mrs. Anderson Mrs. DeYoung Mr. DeYoung Mr. Dixon Mrs. Frey Mr. Crossar Mr. Hamilton Mrs. Jennings Mrs. Kingdon Mr. Kleinschmidt Mrs. Koetsicr Mrs. Kyriazis Mrs. Loedeman Mr. Nolan Mrs. Neal Mrs. Pfister Mr. Tye Mrs. VanWestrienen Miss West Mr. Williams Building and Grounds Superintendent—Russ Young MAINTENANCE n SENIOR OFFICERS AND CLASS HISTORY L. to R. The losses were hard pills to swallow also as 3 of the 4 were by a total of 11 points. The season was highlighted by a sensational 30-12 victory over Parchment robbing them of a chance at the KVA title. The Cats ended the season on the prowl by defeating its final 3 ooponents by a 128 to 12 margin. Ending their careers in style were three Mattawan players who received ALL-KVA honors. Greg Alexander received his second all-league award along with Joe Kozminske and Steve Cronkhite. The team consisted of 18 of the toughtest kids a coach could ever hope to coach and all share in our three all-league selections. The seasons to come will find a tough group of returning seniors joining a fine J-V squad which posted a 6 win and 3 loss year. The Cats will return in 74 tougher than ever before.
