A new type of math, Consumer's Math, and new machines, the overhead projector, have helped Mr. Hessel put spark in his classes. One of six junior class sponsors, Mr. Em-mert was often found helping with class activities. Much new equipment has helped Mrs. Baker in her teaching of girls' physcial education. New this year, Mr. Boyce took the chemistry and physics classes to Whirlpool during the National Engineers' Week. Mr. Barrett, who teaches seventh grade science and geography, plays an important part in preparing his students for a better understanding of our world. 9

Mrs. Kingdon again directed the school's plays besides teaching English and composition. Mr. Hoganson, a new father of an eight pound, eleven ounce baby girl, sparked the sophomore class' enthusiasm as he built up the junior class morale. Sponsor of the National Honor Society, Mrs. Jennings found the freshman class Mr. Snow, who teaches seventh grade math and too large. English, also became sponsor of the yearbook.

Mrs. VanWestriencn sponsored the FHA girls, who often went on trips. Mr. Ryan teaches business education classes. Mr. Kleinschmidt was another to add a new class to his schedule. He taught two classes of power mechanics, three of agriculture, and sponsored the FFA. Mr. Kuster's shop students exhibited a Under the direction of Mr. VanWestrienen, the band number of projects at the open house. went to the Orchestra and Band Festival.
