Mrs. MaoClellan, Seventh grade; and Miss Robinson, Eighth grade discuss some of the problems of the world today. Kindergarten teachers Mrs, Fern Carrington and Mrs. Edna Farthing look over a new book. Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Breed First grade and Mrs. Starr, Second await the Easter season. Seen discussing the hot lunch program are Miss Passmore and Mrs. Armstrong, Second grade teachers. Mrs. Clapp, Miss Chase, and Mrs. Howe Third grade were often seen together. Fourth grade teachers Mrs. Hibbard and Miss Wright, and Fifth Grade teacher Mrs. Meyers smile prettily for the camera. Our goal was ten wins and naturally our goal was met. Championship, Gazette Award, District Championship and Competed in the Regional Finals. Their Exploits will be talked about for many years to cane. RESERVE BASKETBALL With ten wins and four losses behind them the reserve players closed out the year. A successful basketball season is their s to remember. Hardly a man is now alive who will forget the team of 56. The 1955-56 Basketball Season was marked by a victory march wnich led all the way to the last game in the Regionals — the farthest any Mattawan team has ever gone. It saw the winning of the Gazette Award, the K.V.A. Trophy and the District Trophy. The record stands. Twenty wins and Two losses.
