mm The June sunshine watched, smiling j A faint breeze caught a tassle of maroon in its grasp Then a whispered hush enclosed the confusion Hands clasped and solemn eyes met and dropped Capped and gowned statues stood waiting ??, together, Slowly the saddened pipes of the organ stirred Excitement echoed through the quiet halls Breathlessly the procession began Suddenly a slent sob and a tearstained face So quickly time fled- Too swiftly from a dream to reality The pipes swelled again Bowed heads and hand-clasped diplomas gathered together with yesterday's,memories Still the June sunshine watched, smiling and the breeze tossed maroon tassles. But now the capped and gowned statues no longer waited For together, they had witnessed the graduation. Goodbye.
