Standing: Mr. Parker, D. Moody, B. Barker, D. Buck, M. Wilson, J. Trask, C. Hatch, K. Howe, T. Tash. Seated: S. Gilpatrick, G. Cole, R. Whitten, B. Coburn, R. Coffin, R. Holmes, B. Moody. Student Council Tile first meeting of the Student Council was held September 24, 1957, with Roger Holmes presiding as president. Other officers were Sally Gilpatrick, Vice President; Ray Coffin, Secretary. The two main projects of the Student Council were the annual Winter Carnival and the Highway Safety Program. The Council worked very hard to promote, successfully both of these projects. The Safety program, which was something new in our school, required a great deal of work by the Council in setting up committees and trying to give this program a strong foundation for coming years. Bruce Barker, Roger Holmes, Ray Coffin, and Mr. Parker, the advisor, all attended the State Student Council rally held at Brunswick. They picked up a lot of ideas to improve our own Student Council. Byron Moody is State Vice President. The regional Student Council convention was held here at M. A. Present were a large number of dele- gates from other schools belonging to the association. Our Student Council worked hard to make the rally the success it was. David Buck is the regional president. Compliments of SIMON BELL - Chain Saws
