Superintendent ' s Message As you thumb thru the pages of this book in the years to come, I trust that you will have many pleasant memories-memories that will recall the happiest days of your life, the days that you spent in Mathis High School, On encountering the student in the halls, I find that we have enthusiasm abounding in our midst. The appear¬ ance to me is one of gratification. The student is really finding a joy in the pursuit of knowledge. How¬ ever hurried this life may seem, may we take the time to remember the fun we have had and the beauty we have seen] I trust that your desire to learn may be in abun¬ dance through inspiration furnished by your teachers. Then, as you march down the corridor of life, I am quite sure that your pattern of life will contain many fine traits of character and much joy and happiness.
