In Appreciation . Miss Nellie Callis-- This year the Clipper staff of 1968 pays special tribute to one who has served so faithfully and so well for forty-seven years. Mathews High School was nine years old when Miss Nellie joined its faculty in 1948. She didn ' t merely work eight hours but toiled unceasingly as students will verify. Any¬ one coming to Miss Nellie would encounter a friendly face and a helping hand. If they were dejected, Miss Nellie would brighten them up with her kind remarks and her sense of humor. With such interest in Mathews High School, one would wonder just what this won¬ derful person will do upon retiring. The question is easily answered. She will go on serving her community, her church and her fellowman in the same kind way. The students of Mathews owe their sincere appreciation to this remarkable woman who is a friend to all. What can we say except Well done, thou good and faithful servant. MATHEWS HiG’ri bCrluGL LlbKAbH
