The purpose of this association is to promote the spirit of honor and self respect among the students of the school, to promote the spirit of earnest endeavor for high scholarship attainment, to promote worthy stu¬ dent activities and to promote the general welfare of the school. This year the S.C.A. has sponsored a recreation center at M.H.S. every two weeks. Activities have included ping pong, chess, cards, danc¬ ing and a spring picnic. In the fall students registered and paid a poll tax so that they might be eligible to vote in the mock school election in November. Yes, Ike won. During the year four assembly program consisting of a magician, a marimba band, ,an impersonator, and a scientist were promoted by the S. C. A.
