It lS the year 1967 and the once small CIIY ofMun1s1ng 1S now a great MetfOpOl1S It is the fashlon and cultural center of the world We can thank the class of 57 for the magn1f1cent change 1n our C1tY Mun1s1ng s bus1ne ss d1str1ct 15 one of the largest and most elaborate 1D the Un1ted States SUZIG Kuenzer owns the excluslve Sue s Apparel Her fa sh1on hostess 1S Darlene Russell and her models are TGSSIG NEQIISKI Karen Boyak and Ela1n Sharron Men nowadays are much more fash1on consclous than they were ten years ago Russ Everett propr1etor of the Ellte Style Shoppe for Gentlemen has made a fortune w1th h1S fla1r for styles to please the man about town Joyce Gflfflth and Sally Trometer own a Chaln of grocery stores the large st and the best Barb Ruggles owns the Cane and Fan Shop She carr1es goods for the well dressed man and woman The profess1onal people 1n our town are the be st of course Dr La Mothe 1S the best surgeon 1n M1ch1gan and Dr Knutt1la lS a famed optometr1st We have two good honest lawyers Rosemary Debelak and J1m Mahon Mayor Tom Moulds was once governor of M1ch1gan and our sher1ff Ron Seglund was the head of the FBI Our Chlef of pol1ce 15 also a competent man Yes Cl1ff M1tchell has really cleaned up the town The UHIVGYSITIY of Mun1s1ng is an excellent college Perry Jeanson lS the founder and pre Sldent and Betuna Carmody 1S the dean of women Our college has the greatest authority on Shakespeare as an Engl1sh teacher She 1S none other than Dagne Keller Mun1s1ng 13 also a center for great scholars Karen Lemley is a great philosopher She 1S known as the Socrates of the Twent1eth Century Justine PaW19lSkl and Kay Gherondas are Just a couple of the poets 1n town Ke1th Pangborn and Mar1e St Amour wr1te novels together The1r latest book 1S L1fe Among the Heathens It compares our great c1v1l1zatlon with the rough and uncouth New York C1ty Nancy Moe and Duane Carpenter are two of our most famous sc1ent1sts They are working on the X Bomb now Of course our newspaper is the best It 1S called the Tattler The ed1tor lS Opal Johns but the be st column writer 15 Judy Carr Hers lS the soc1ety column Murusing has run Palm Springs out of business because lt 1S such a perfect place for a vacat1on Our weather 1S now warm 1n the winter because Nancy Barr and Judy Campbell constructed an atom1c power heat1ng plant Clarence Bower a nurseryman brought 1n some palms and orange trees One would th1nk we 11V9 down south The men have changed from then' rough and rowdy sports to more genteel amusement The head of the Polo Club 1S none other than D1ck Trombley H13 r1ght hand man is Bob Denman The men and women of Mun1s1ng also go 1n for fox huntlng Judy Anderson 1ntroduced th1s sport after she returned from England Another great source of amusement 1S the Yacht Club The pres1dent 15 Phyll1s Vardon who owned the f1rst yacht However the most fabulous one 1S owned by Don W1CkSU'Om It IS a beaut1ful boat bu1lt by Norbert and Norman Gurskl The Gursk1s have made themselves famous by the1r exqui s1te boats . , , . . . . . .
