m-w-WW C s Qin'-sf C ul 5? Q My dan 'Wx 32 ' el Window decorators Cl-O Janet Cirillo, Ann Dee, Helene McAnally and Rose McGehean exhibit their Halloween poster which won second prize in a neighboring community competition. ln the midst of a wild melee of paints, pens, pastels, and pottery, artist's efforts add an essential piece to the mosaic of our community, the external manifestation of culture through the various art media. Sister Marie Lucille's expert guidance and confidence in her stu- dents brings out the best they are capable of, frequently prizewinning entries in competitions such as the Gimbel Art Contest and Design Cover Competition. While weekly art classes learn basic skills in lettering, poster paint- ing, etc., art maiors learn that art is far from being merely an enioyable hobby, but is often tedious exhausting labor, albeit rewarding. Cov- ering such various tields as: oils, ceramics, silk screening, sculpture, fashion and textile design, they have a good foundation for con- centration in almost any art field.
