The Knights, victorious in five out of the last six games, entered the Regional as underdogs to everyone except Coach Cavaletto and his Knights. They provide spark at pep rallies, and entertainment during home football and basketball games. Marching seventy strong, the hard-working band mem- bers participated in M.D.’s Homecoming, the Veterans’ Day Parade, McKendree College Homecoming, St. Patrick’s Day Pa- rade and the Shriners’ Parade in St. Louis, Mo. Performances were also witnessed in various parades in the area. To arouse interest in the art of music, and to encourage continued growth, the band performed at various grade schools.
