Eugene Dewig SUPERINTENDENT He supervises the valley of youth. Now finishing his second year at Mater Dei, Father has become accustomed to his teen city in the Valley of youth. His senior religion classes have occupied most of his time, yet his duties as superintendent are excellently fulfilled. Whenever a word of advice is needed how willingly and tactfully he offers it. All of the students have placed complete confidence in Father. How fortunate we are to have Father Dewig at Mater Dei. 1 5 4 .5 , I . tg 4 I 45 N 5 . 1 ff f 1' I f D x7 I, A , 'fx -.L-up . ,W N v I .- 1 wh, -.., 4- I ,fn ' Q57 ,eff -, ,,,,. fu-I ' , SM SISTER MARY ESTHER Principal Y O P xlton 301' I an iu- W r 7' '15 3115 va-nf Nui WR Fh- Police Chief ftvx 'iff . . . ' 1 n Sister Claudia, one of Mater Dei's most beloved teachers, is the master of the Art Department, located in Room 209. Large classes of Art and Mechan- ical Drawing students keep Sister busy every period of the day. The Art Studio is always a place of beauty, precision and good taste. The Students learn much in both the practical and artistic lines. Oil painting, water color, houseplunning, lettering, postermaking, fashion design are only some of the proiects of the classes under Sister Claudia's direction.
