In Many Different Ways After Hours Happenings From 7:50 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. most of our time is taken up with academic tasks of one type or another. But as soon as the last bell of the day rings the halls arc filled with students. While some arc anxious to hurry out the doors to outside activities, away from school, which may fill their time; others arc rushing to one of the many club or organizational meetings, or out to one of the athletic practices scheduled for that particular day. Each of us finds and chooses the most fulfilling way to satisfy our own needs in many different ways. Terri Koelle hurries to get ready for Field Hockey practice Four o'clock already! Bonnie Kimmcl. Kim White, and Ann Marie Kuta decide to call it a day.

In Many Different Ways Around And About Everyone has his own way of spending his short break from the classroom routine. From June to September there were many oppor- tunities for fun, sun, recreation and relaxation. Having free time with nothing in particular to do never gave us the summertime blues. On the contrary, many of us celebrated with parties or slept the leisure hours away. Many students spent a great deal of time working in order to earn much needed pocket money to spend on their summer vacation. Oth- ers attended summer conferences and programs, some held locally, others were held in various areas throughout the nation. Some attend- ed on an individual basis while others participated with different school organizations. Although the summer break seemed short we learned lessons in re- sponsibility and discipline that will help us in our future. Whichever way we chose to spend this time aw ay from school routine we enjoyed the change of routine in many different ways. During the summer months students could be found working around the school building. Linda DeVi ia helps to staff the main office. Cheerleadinc practice doesn't stop, even though the weather may be warm. In late June eight members of The Health Occupations Students of America attended the National Conference in San Antonio. Texas with their adviser. Mrs. Dolan. The Future business Leaders of America participated in their association's conference in breezy San Francisco. Ms. Adler accompanied the participants. 10
