Mr. James Feketie Throughout the four years of our experience at Matawan, one name that stands out, not only in performance of a job, but as an invaluable aid to the Class of 1971 as well, is that of Mr. Jim Feketie, head custodian. One might think that the job of cleaning up after nearly 2,000 students and teachers would never end. And yet, Mr. Feketie has always found time to set things up for a school activity or help out a class project. The Class of 1971 is grateful to Mr. Feketie for his efforts in making our many projects successful. The Class Of 1971 Dedicates Pillar To Mrs. Louise Fitzpatrick Happiness is Mrs. Louise Fitzpatrick, a teacher who is greatly respected by the entire student body, but even more so by the Class of 1971. To describe Mrs. Fitzpatrick is a difficult task. How can you adequately describe someone you like and respect and then give all the reasons why? She is unique. Mrs. Fitzpatrick's atti- tude is casual and friendly and because of this students are comfortable with her and can talk to her. She has the ability to give and take a joke, and quite often does. Because of all this and so much more, and despite her fre- quent references to the French, we the Class of 1971 do gratefully dedicate the '71 Pillar to Mrs. Fitzpatrick. John Wayne would be proud!
