Rigorous training and long practices prepared the girls for a successful and spirited time. Nancy Eisenbeis. our outstanding drum majorette, led the band. The color guard captain was Ann Leontine and the flag twirlers were led by Karen Almenas. Mrs. L. Senior Carla La Grassa Senior Denise Williams Senior Pewy Yules Senior Carol Shaw Enthusiasm was the key word for describing the spirit of the 1969-70 cheerleading squad. Throughout the football and basketball seasons, our cheerleaders, led by Captain Peggy Godwin and Co-captain Audrey Anderson, were definitely a boost to everyone. The excitement inspired by them at the pep rallies and bonfire as well as the games helped contribute to one of the Huskies most successful seasons.
