A Time Mr. Harvey LaTourette Rarely are such qualities as wit. firmness, and intellect so successfully combined in a person as they are in Mr. Harvey La Tourette. It is a great advantage to society when such a person happens to be an educator and our greater ad- vantage that he has for the last six years cho- sen Matawan Regional High School at which to share his knowledge with the youth of our com- munity. Harvey LaTourette graduated for Milburn high School. He received his B.A. and M.A. at Be- thany College. Bethany. West Virginia and has also attended Montclair State College and Ste- vens Institute of Techology. In September of 1959 he entered the science department at Ma- tawan High School as a teacher of chemistry. We are grateful for the patience and under- standing he has shown in instructing his stu- dents and for the wit and humor he so artfully weaves into daily activities. Thank you. Mr. La- Tourette. for your inspiration and guidance which will be forever instilled in memories of our high school years. 6

To Dedicate MR. CARL YOUNGMAN Any student who has had the good fortune to be assigned Mr. Car! Youngman as an instruc- tor, will acknowledge his unique brand of wit and make mention of his amiable personality which are so much a part of his classroom’s at- mosphere. Even more important than this is the quality of his intellect which has inspired our recognition and esteem. Mr. Youngman has always taken an interest and been extremely active in senior activities. He has served on the Student-Faculty Commit- tee and this year he has once more graciously consented to undertake the job of directing the Senior Class play. Carl Youngman received his B.S. and Ed.M. from Rutgers University. He has taught United States History and Seminar in Modern World History, in the past. This year he is also teaching Early World History.
