STUDENT COUNCIL The 1954-55 Matamoras High SchoolStudentCounci1held its first regular meeting on September 22 with these capable officers in charge: President Fred DeGroat Vice-President 908222, Jim Wheaton Secretary WK ff' Q, E Carol Ewbank Treasurer 5 ' Gail Caskey Sergeant-at-Arms I f Jack Meany One of our projects for this year was to invite the Milford General Organization to send repre- sentatives to our meeting. Another project which the school plant committee is taking care of, is making fences to protect the lawn. The faculty has asked the Student Council to help in making our school more orderly, especially between classes, and we have done our best to cooperate with them. The faculty has also asked us for suggestions as to how the money which is received from school pictures, should be spent. One of our most important projects this year is the passing of three constitutional amendments concerning our elections. We feel that these amendments will make our elections more meaningful and will help our Student Council to run better.
