The Matador Public School's sec- ond annual Homecoming, held on No- vember 11, l955,was bigger and better than ever! More than five hundred people visited the school, and three hundred ex-students registered. A combination business m e e t in g and chapel program held in the after- noon filled the auditorium to over- flowing. New officers for the ex- students association were elected fol- lowed by a program presented by the high school students and exes. A pre-game supper was held at the American Legion Hut, and hundreds attended. The Matadors soundly beat the Quitaque Panthers 72 to 26 be fore a crowd of fifteen hundred, and during the halftime activities, Patti Craven C0 Registering. Old favorites were sung by the Estes sisters. was honored as Football Sweetheart. A dance held at the Legion Hut ended the busy day 's activities. i i 4 .H siiff rr - A corsage for our Head Cheerleader. 3 I X a V Laura Jacobs, youngest registeree. Class of '70. Over four hundred at- tende d the bon fire and pep rally held the night before the game. Beat Quitaque. We did! Coffee and donuts were 38 served in Home Ec. room.
