The record is no indication of how hard these spirited boys worked under the coaching of Mr. Graham Ingels. The addition of the new track and field complex was vital to the performances of the Harriers who had the largest turnout of run- ners in Masuk history. Co-Capt Walt Nevolis had fine support from Senior Tom Savoy, Co-Capt Tim Ruby, and runners Dave Silverman, Mark Anderson, and Larry Brennan. Leadership, good coaching, and Masuk Pride resulted in keeping Masuk tradition with an- other winning season despite the loss of 19 seniors. Masuk missed the presence of Paul Bov- ard, however, strong performances by All Conference winne rs Chuck Kennedy, Pat Rose, and Charlie Cino, as well as seniors Brian DeSanty, Paul Flower, Mike Pinciaro, Brian Keller, Barry Stangl, and Chuck Iwertz, resulted in another respectable Ma- suk football squad, which finished with a 5-3-1 record. With the core of the Panthers returning and an undefeated J. V. squad, the Panthers will be looking for the division crown next season.
