Mr. Hastings left us in January to fulfill a Fellowship grant in Sheppar- ton, Victoria, Australia and he plans to return in two years. The Class of ’71 will miss him as it nears graduation, but there is happi- ness in knowing that future classes will benefit by his return. We wish him luck on his new appointment and we all look forward to his return. 7

As advisors of the Class of 1971, we fondly look back upon the years of helping and working with you through dances, projects, and unfortunately, some crises. Your class has pursued all its tasks with enthusiasm and has been proud of its own accomplishments. Fun and spirit have been keynotes for the class and this is such an important goal of the young. Having fun and enjoying your school years will prove to be so helpful to you in setting a basis for future happiness. Masuk High School is the foundation on which you will build. You are now ready to go one of the various direction that face you, and we think you have proven your ability to accept the challenges and responsibilities you will encounter. It is with sadness that we see you leave Masuk, but it is the certainty of your future success that gives us happiness as we say good-bye.
