In June we will step from the security of the graduation stage into an uncertain future. Yet in our minds, and in these books, we will carry with us some of the richest and most rewarding exper- iences of our lives. Rich in the quality of people we have met, rewarding in the education we have received. Most of us began our high school career on an autumn morning of ’66; freshmen, waiting for our schedules and listening for the bell. Even though the days passed slowly, it doesn’t seem that long ago. Soon, that platform, which was only a dream a few months ago, will become a reality. Now, as the Class of ’70 fades into a painting in the parking lot, we are only beginning to realize how much we have enjoyed the past four years. We wish to thank the administration, the faculty, and our fellow students, for the memories they have given us. The Class of ’70

To the Class of 1970: It is with a variety of emotions that we look forward to your graduation and the end of your student days at Masuk High School. We are proud of you, of course — proud of your accom- plishments, your progress, your entire academic and social devel- opment. In a way we are relieved that four long years are almost over. Yet at the same time we can hardly believe that four short years have gone by so quickly, and we have the feelings that all parents must have when their children set out to make their own way: happiness and sadness, relief and concern, and perhaps even a little regret. More than anything else, however, we have a pervading sense of hope. We hope that you share our pride in your class; indeed, we feel sure that you do. We hope that your future, whatever it may be, will be as successful as your past at Masuk. And we hope that we, your class advisors, have done as good a job as anyone in helping you reach that goal.
