DRAMATIC CLUB OFFICERS Frances Hardman lane Snyder Bill Hamllton Patty Englehcxrt With Washington High School celebrating its onehundreth anniversary and with Struts and Frets celebrating its th1rt1eth the people of Massillon were promised a full year of good entertainment The organization of Struts and Frets was conceived in 1918 by the late Marjory R Hulick fMrs Frank Humbergerl Then followed a reign of eight directors giving some odd hundred dramatic productlons with more than a thousand students participating in its varying achievements To those of the past who worked to build a future we w1sh to express in this celebration our heartlest thanks We turn to the future with great plans for continued lmprovement based upon a respect for all of the traditions and prog ress of the past At the present time almost one hundred students are at work in Struts and Frets National Thespians or the five organlzed dramat1c courses which are giving young Thespians experience in theatre work The dramatic club was orgaruzed for the purpose of encouraging an active interest in dramatic arts. Another outstanding victory was the fray with Youngstown South which ended 50-26. Captains were alternated during the season. Haward Welsh, lim Allman, Ray Flickinger, Dick Iacobs, and Bob Clark were the outstanding members of the team both offensively and defensively. The Cubs averaged 39 points a game and were able to hold their opponents to a 36 point average.
