e Lund fheir Laolerdkip MR. HUBERT W. PERKINS Principal of Massena Iunior- Senior Hiqh School We the Seniors, theme of the 1949 yearbook, denotes both a sense of pride and a realization of group consciousness. Without specific goals and a definite effort to achieve them, activity, regardless of its nature, loses its purpose. No less important is the knowledge that in our mod- ern, complicated world we must learn how to live and work together. If this could be achieved on an international scale, peace at last would be- come a reality. -f f ,r , , t t MR. WALTER S. WILSON Superintendent of Massena Public Schools The 1949 Taller presents a written and pictorial history of your last year in Massena High School. History is a story of the past. Now you face the future with the training and experiences of your high school education. As the future unfolds itself to you, the challenges which will be brought before you will be many and difficult. To you, We the Seniors, we give our best wishes that you may meet these challenges as real Americans. MISS DOROTHY I. HALL Vice-Principal of Massena Junior-Senior High School Once again a Senior Class has made its record and brings it together for all to see. Individually and collectively, the story has been told. It covers the many fields of activity and endeavor, schol- astic and extra-curricular, that go to make up a high school education. Let us not forget that as we go through life, we are always in the process of making a record. It may not always be as neatly packaged as this, but it is there just the same. Let us do our utmost to be sure it is a good one.
