X Editor-in-Chief of our yearbook, Shirley has always done her best in aiding class J., undertakings. We know that she will do M equally as well in her future work. V Bettie Perkins, our salutatorian, ranks 2 second highest in our class with an average of 94.20. She has been active in class ac- tivities, serving as Business Manager ofthe Tat1er, and she was a member of the Senior play east. Her pleasing personality has made her a warm friend in our class. In addition to the valedictorian and salutatorian, the Class of 1946 has twelve students who have shown high scholastic ability, achieving an average of 90 per cent or above. In the cases of the first three of these honor students and the two top honor winners, there has been one of the closest races ever run here in MHS involving high averages.
