She has worked hard on projects to make the '44 class remembered after they've left, and we are proud of her. At Cornell, they shall soon find out how line a student she is. Gean Hopson has earned the honor of being salutatorian with an average of 95.5. Gean has an exceptionally line . , Q . personality. Zin emuriam And may there he no moaning at the har, when l put out to seaf '... hut how can we help hut grieve . . . for we have lost an outstanding personality from our midst. We sorely miss this youthful lad whose exceptional scholastic ahility made him one of the hest liked students in school. To the hoys, he was a pal, an all-round good fellow, to the girls, a boy, admired and respected. With his stalwart build, he made an excellent athlete. And so, until we meet on that inexor- alwle march into eternity, we shall think of him and remember . . . John Sigouin was horn on August 27, 1925. After attending the grades at Wash- ington School, he entered junior high school in 1938. On Christmas Eve of 1942, while he was in his third year of high school, the fatal accident occurred. 18
