CUB FACULTY SERVE THEIR CCUNTRY 'k We have been unfortunate in losing many of our teachers to Uncle Sam. We know they're doing a great job, and we're proud of them. Mr. Perkins, who was vice-principal of junior and Senior High School, and also teacher of History A and B, is now with the Army in New York City at a psychiatric center. The former vice-principal and the head of the commercial department, Mr. Ehle, is in the anti-aircraft division at Camp Edwards, Massa- chusetts. Mr. Butler, who taught the special class, is writing supplementary educational material at Pine Camp. Our former school nurse, Miss Farley, is now serving in England with the Army. Miss Cairns, who was an English and Latin teacher, was the first teacher to enter the service. She is now in command of a W. A. C. Company in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Scott taught eighth grade General Science before leaving for the Army. He is working in the photography lield and doing recon- naissance work at Casper, Wyoming. Mr. Calnon is the only one so far who has seen actual lighting and was last reported to be a prisoner of war. Before entering military service, he was a teacher of social studies. Of late, Mr. Rowan, recent General Science teacher, has not been heard from. The last news from him was that he was stationed at Pensacola. Mr. Robb, who was the instrumental director, has been fortunate enough to be able to continue in this work and is a band leader at Camp Lee. Mr. Cardy, former art teacher and junior Class advisor, is with the Navy in Georgia. Mr. Snyder teaches men who take infantry training a half day and elementary school subjects the other half of the day at Pine Camp. Miss Gratto is a lieutenant in the W. A. C. and is temporarily sta- tioned at Fairlield, Ohio, where she is waiting further assignment. The last word from Miss Dunn was that she was in New York City and an Ensign in the WAVES. - Inrignifz drawn by L. Humphrey 13 1 -v 'Af-5, , 'K f Q A A vw Zim You Mx.
