Although they did not have the talent of some of the previous Massapequa teams, the I976 Chiefs playeduwell enough to have a .500 record in Nassau County's toughest division. The season was highlighted by an outstanding 22-0 victory over Calhoun who at the time were taking a run at the division title. The Chiefs' two other victories were over a tough Mepham team and a determined Valley Stream Central team.
