Karen comes from Falkenberg, Sweden which is a suburb outside of Stockholm. She is very active in sports, her favorite being basketball. Karen is also interested in politics. Having come over from Sweden in September, she has stayed with Wendy Marino, Vera Woodsmith and Everett Phillips. Karen will be returning home in early June. Home is an apartment shared with brothers, sisters and her parents. Her father is a physical education instructor and her mother an X-ray technican. Karen is looking forward to college, but has no definite career plans. We are all grateful to the Rotary Club for the opportunity to become friends with Karen and we wish her the very best of luck. l

A giant canopy frames the iunior prom room. Hours working feverishly, had cafeteria into a beautifully Candlelit tables line the couple the mirror ball a myriad of colors rock to tender love songs . and iackets, the girls in long gowns the dungaree clad group,who ordinarily school halls . . . people wander from table to table laughing and engaging in conversation with friends , . . the evening passes quickly . . . all too soon the prom draws to a close, . 1 people who have made plans begin to leave . . . some are going to parties, and I some to friendsfhomes.
