Under the guidance of a new coach, Nick Verini, the Massapequa High var- sity team has enjoyed much success. Despite great losses of personnel, the team has done unusually well. With a record of 2-4, and a promise for contin- uing success, the M.H.S. Chiefs are sure to be in the playoffs. Outstanding performances and skill were displayed on the part of Seniors, Mike Cantor, Steve McNamee, Barney Willians, and Barry Zankel. Returning Iuniors show a great potential and make the prospects of a successful '75 season brighter.

This year the Hockey Team expanded its recognition as a varsity sport. With no outside support, they raised enough money to join a second league, in which they have compiled a 7-3 record. They are also doing fairly well in the T.O.B. league with a 1-3 record. With the support of E 1 the team's two outstanding goaltendersg Rick Grahm, and . ,, Mark Cusamano, the team is looking forward to making ' the playoffs in both leagues.
