They are also a service organization. Under the direction of the advisor, Miss Hoff- mann, the club sells candy and soda at football and basketball games. The club also adopts a family at Christmastime, plans the Sports Ban- quet, and offers a scholarship to a deserving sen- ior girl. Leaders are the guardian angels C75 of the gym class. The highlight of the eve- ning was the speech by Colleen Koetzner, the stu- dent speaker. Numerals, shields, block lvl's and gold keys were presented to deserving girls. Two awards in each sport were also presented: one to the best all-around girl, and one to the most improved. For those who attended, it was a very enjoyable eve- ning. if 'Q .emi , T WH. ae' sux.

Gold Key Candidates l Q' 11. fB?- Jennifer Fezza Shelley Barrett Jill Costelloe The gold key is awarded each year to those senior girls who have accumulated 600 points or more in their four years at Mas- sapequa High School. The girls pictured here are candidates tor that award which is given in June at the Sports Banquet. Points are awarded for attend- ance at an intramural, interscho- lastic competition, and manage- ment of a sport. It is the highest award a girl can receive in athlet- ic competition.
