More important, they won the county championship and fin- ished as the second best team in the state. Jeff Glass, who averaged 38 Cfor 9 holesj forthe season, was ranked fifth in the county and tenth in the state. Steve Kaplan was fourth in the county and Dan Lannak finished seventh in the state finals. Bob Conforte had the best season's average with a 38, followed by Glass, Lannak, and Rory Barton. The '72 team has such standouts as seniors Glass, Steve Weinstein, and Joel Wit, and juniors Neil Powers and Bill Steinman. Mr. Jerry Lucev, the veteran coach who was on sabbatical in'71, returned this year, replacing Mr. Richard Wit, who did a fine job in Lu- cev's absence. GOQC - Coach: Mr. Jerry Lucev 5, W1 M, 3 Q? Girls' S ports Can any girl ever forget the time spent in gym classes? During our four years, vve were confronted with many untor- gettable experiences. The class ot '72 saw the arrival ot a spring co-ed gym program. We played volleyball in the great outdoors and were involved in a night recreation program. But the ideas most girls associate with gym classes are things such as Squads Please! . . . Baggy Gymsuits . . . Exercises . . .Crowded Locker rooms . . .
