This year, Driftwood had a booth at the Senior Fair and sold handi- craft items, which were very popular. Prior to Thanksgiving, a folk concert was held, and this proved a success both artistical- ly and monetarily. As before, Driftwood owes its enthusiastic response to its hardworking edi- tor-in-chief, Audrey Nieson, and its creative staff. A new, and es- sentially experimental layout was introduced this year, making for more interesting reading.

N T The Massapequa A Capella Choir A T has had another exciting year under the direction of Mr. Guidotti. ln the middle of preparation for their per- formance at St. Patrick's Cathedral on Christmas Eve on nationwide televi- ' sion, the choir also managed to do a concert with the Massapequa Sym- phony Orchestra and of course per- formed in the annual Christmas con- cert. After vacation, the Mid-Winter Concert brought a wonderful change , of pace into the MHS auditorium. A contemporary piece with a taped ac- companiment highlighted the perform- ance. The trip to Washington in the spring was indicative of the choral depart- ment's success. A new group, the Massapequa Madrigal Singers, was added to the choral program this year. This is an U ffri'fii T enthusiastic chamber group which A I has performed in all school concerts and in other places in the community.
